Rube Goldberg Reflection
- Answer questions thoroughly
Next Project: Animated Story using Scratch Coding Software
- Pick a partner
- Go to https://scratch.mit.edu/
- Create an account
- Click on create and when it goes to the next screen find the question mark on the right side and start going through some tutorials
Thursday - May 17th
Rube Goldberg Machines
- Begin running machines
- Make sure you film the machine running successfully
Wednesday - May 16th
Rube Goldberg Machines
- Begin Building Machines
Tuesday - May 15th
Rube Goldberg Machines
- Blueprint and list of items are due on Wednesday for Mr. Paa look at
- Find a time to get together with partner to film machine in action
Monday - May 14th
Rube Goldberg Machines
- Make sure you have a partner
- Continue working on detailed blueprint (should be very easy for me to see what is taking a place at each step)
- Ex. of not a step, if you are using dominoes that run into each other, each domino is not a step, and if a domino bumps into a book it isn't a step (has to be a change in machine, can't continue with same motion)
- Machine must either put out a candle, pop a balloon, or flip a light on
- Make an item list of things you and your partner will be using to turn into me
- DUE DATE: Friday, May 14th (as of now)
Friday - May 11th
October Sky and Rocket Project Reflection
- After you have finished the reflection, you will begin the Rube Goldberg project
- First, select your partner
- Second, read through this informational packet about Rube Goldberg Machines
- You will be required to have at least 10 different steps not 5
- The machine does not have to come to school, you can do it at your house
- You will be required to have 4 simple machines
- Familiarize yourself with what simple machines are using Google
- Third, begin to draw your blueprint and make detailed list about steps
